It looked like rain when I pulled up to meet Karla and Ed for their engagement session last Saturday. I had left my flash at home, I was determined to shoot with my 50mm 1.2 and not be tempted to pull out my flash to use as fill light so the clouds made me a bit nervous. I forgot all of that as Karla introduced me to Ed, Karla had been a bridesmaid in Lyndsay’s wedding but it was my first time meeting her sweetheart. It was quickly evident that they are very much in love and willing to have fun in front of the camera. Tonight as I sat down and began to edit the photo’s, I wanted to pull a few out to show a bit of their playfullness and the amazing light that ended up shining through the dark clouds as we explored the grounds and talked about their wedding in April. Enjoy your engagement Karla and Ed, it will be your wedding day before you know it.
