Lucky me to be an associate photographer for Denise Gonsales. Please click http://denisegonsales.com/ and show her some love. She does amazing work and I feel a bit guilty about the fun we have shooting together. I Love, Love, Love shooting weddings and we do alot of that!! There are so many emotions and details to be captured on that day and it so exciting to be a part of it. Most of our days are 10 hours long but it goes by so quickly. What day wouldn't be awesome that usually ends with a piece of wedding cake. (ALWAYS with permission of course)

I shoot 100% natural light on location. I do not or ever plan on owning a studio. I am a lifestyle photogrpaher: meaning that I want to capture you and your family in REAL moments with REAL emotion. The best moments happen when you forget that I am even there.

Scenerio 1: I sneek a peek into your home to spend a couple of hours watching you all interact, how many minutes (or seconds even) would you say that your family NATURALLY all stands in a line and says cheese and looks stiff and crazy in the same direction? NEVER!!
Do you want to forever own a photo of you standing next to your child and staring off into space or one of you lifting that child into the air and watching them squeal with delight?

Scenerio 2: Your big day has finally arrived and you will soon be wed to the love of your life. Do you intend on standing in straight lines with family members and guests for hours smiling numbly at a camera? I hope not, this is your day to celebrate and enjoy each other. Sure the few family and formals have to be taken (quickly) but then your day should go on, forgetting we are there as we DOCUMENT you NATURALLY celebrating. Which photos would you want to see from the weddings of your parents and grandparents?

Yes, it may take a little longer than filing into the studio but is so worth it in the end.

Suprise Elopement!!

Dave told Margaret that they would go to a courthouse to get married during their stay in Savannah but suprised her with a romantic stay at the Azalea Inn and Gardens in Savannah. The suprise included flowers, a beautiful wedding cake made by Custom Cakes, a horse and buggy ride to The Pink House for dinner and Chelsea and I to photograph the event. Even Romantic Dave did not count on the additional suprises that awaited his ceremony. The Inn’s guests watched from the windows and was invited in for cake and champaign but the biggest unplanned moment was when Judge Bazemore slipped and fell into the pool just minutes before the ceremony began. It was a romantic after-sunset wedding so the innkeeper got to hold a flashlight so the Judge could read the vows (after they were fished out of the pool). It was a fun, seet night for all. I was thrilled to be a part of it all. A video follows these few pictures.
